Winter Crossing

A relaxed and warm generative ambient drone inspired by winter in Idaho.

I spent Christmas 2017 in Boise, Idaho.

They get proper seasons there. Winter is cold and, as you can see, they get snow.
The clouds move slowly there (clouds above Manchester race across the sky in comparison).
The place is friendly, warm and more relaxed.
This album is inspired by all of that.

The music is generative, as with all other The Ambient Visitor albums.
This album is based in the mysterious locrian mode (a personal favourite of mine) although, with the way this music is created, I could claim it was in any of several modes. It just is, OK?!

Released 17 February 2018

All music written performed and produced by Brin Coleman at MCos, Manchester during January 2018.

About The Ambient Visitor

The Ambient Visitor

Deep and mysterious longform ambient music.

The music is generative:
Each note plays in a loop. The length of each loop is slightly different so while the music may vary slightly, it never quite repeats itself.

I also make music under the name Bing Satellites, The Lovely Moon, Ghost Harmonics, Kowalski Room, Ethereal Ephemera and Blocker.
